Little Bear will sometimes sit and keep watch in front of the narrow window by the front door, intently watching for any movement and listening for any sound. I think he feels that it is his duty to keep us safe and in doing so, he will bark threateningly at any movement he sees or any sound he hears. If nothing is happening out there, he’ll eventually relax and fall asleep on the rug or move to another spot in the house, often upstairs to the bonus room. On workdays when it’s time for Ken to come home, Little Bear will sit at this window in this posture as well, as he waits for Ken to arrive.
