June 8, 2009 – Day 159I can’t stand the taste of milk, but I absolutely love…buttermilk! Ken doesn’t understand how I can drink it; he teases me and says it’s like drinking sour cream. lol
As soon as I was finished taking this picture, I added a little salt and pepper and enjoyed my delicious treat! I don’t care for any brands other than Dairyland and it has to be 3.25% (the 1% is almost as unpleasant as milk).
I do tend to agree with Ken! I cannot understand why anybody would want to drink sour milk! LOL I am sure that there are things which I love that you would find repulsing and this is what makes each one of us unique, plus the buttermilk producers in business! :-)
ReplyDeleteI used to drink 2% when I was younger, then 1% and now I'm on skim milk. when I drink 2% I find it creamy, I can only imagine 3.25% buttermilk! If I'm ever at your house and you happen to have it one day though I'll give it a try. I always say to try things at least once. I like eggnog after all (only a couple times around Christmas though).

ReplyDeleteIt's cool that you (Shayne) and Sandy are willing to try it, at least once! :-) I think it may be an acquired taste for most people though. Christine responded to my facebook post and said she loves it too. I was surprised because I didn't know (or remember) that she did and she said Ken is right that it does taste like sour cream and that's why it's so good! LOL
