August 28, 2009 – Day 240
We received this cute save-the-date card from my nephew Shayne and his wife Sandy in the mail yesterday. I was thrilled to see that they used one of the digital scrapbooking kits that I designed to create the card!
Christine threw a family potluck Christmas party/Chinese gift exchange a few years ago and it seems to have become an annual family tradition. With everyone going separate ways for Christmas day, it’s a wonderful way for us to get to spend a day of the season together and the party is so much fun every year. We exchange gifts (and with the Chinese gift exchange, you never know which gift you’ll end up going home with), catch up on what’s been happening with one another, share lots of laughter, take lots of pictures, and eat. There is always more than enough delicious food, with everyone bringing along a dish or two.
It’s hard to believe that it’s already time to start thinking about, and planning for, Christmas events but I’m looking forward to the family Christmas party on December 5th!

Wow, they came in much faster than I thought considering you are all the way on the other side of the whole entire city! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you liked them and recognized they came from your site. We are totally un-crafty type folks but we love all your stuff.
We really are looking forward to the day and hope everyone can make it!
