Bountiful Harvest

I feel like I’ve won a real-life FarmVille lottery! :-)

Christine, Ian and the kids arrived this afternoon and will be staying with us until next Sunday. They stopped in Smoky Lake on their way down and spent a couple hours visiting my sister Marilyn. Marilyn planted a large garden this year and sent a box filled with these wonderful fresh-from-the-garden vegetables for me! I forgot to include the jar of canned beets (also from her garden) she sent along as well – I can’t wait to make a large pot of borscht with part of this bountiful harvest I’ve been blessed with.
